Collection creation of hand marbled papers

 

At the request of the Kami no Ondo shop in Nagoya, I used the colours of the four seasons in Japan in various Western designs.

In spring, Haru, we speak of ohanami, to express the state of « contemplating the flowers ».

For the summer, Tsuyu, it is especially the cool summer that is appreciated by Yuri, the inspiration for this research.

Autumn, Aki:

The flowering cherry trees, known assakura, arouse curiosity for the delicate and ephemeral beauty of the landscapes they create

Kôyô, « red leaf », refers to the reddening of Japanese maple leaves.

Winter, Fuyu:

The falling yuki snow provides a setting for sleeping nature under a thin layer of tusyageshi frost and kori ice.

Each image is an A4 scan of a portion of the original sheet, showing the drawing in the direction it was laid on the book. The paper stretches horizontally, in the direction of the bands.
